Cheaper still; new from music store currently ... $100 half-sized
China made Denver nylon string acoustic ... $100 Squier/Fender
half-sized stratocaster ... both play nicely out of the box ... who
knows how good with some Hohner-taught tweaking? better strings? ...
plus half-sized guitars are value-added for someone who prefers
smaller sized instruments ...easier to play and carry around ... not
just for kids; JT playing half sized:

For heaven's sake, blues players have made their own cigar box guitars
... hobbyists still do .. and what about Bo Diddley's cookie box
special ??? ... never mind Brian May's father-son, high school Red
Special guitar?

Or a $60 Xaphoon pocket sax ... if no cash, self made bamboo sax ...
added benefit, harsound likely much better tolerated by non-playing,
significant others than harmonica often is .... there are substitutes
to be had ....

Harp content ... buy another harp or something different? ... there
are substitutes to be had ....
