wow...thanx for sharing that Tom very insightful stuff....and well written & informative...

I know Toots has been quoted that he always uses a hand held...however there are lots of Toots recordings where it sounds to my ears he is using ambient (non hand held) micing of various configs.....very interesting stuff....again thanx
