I used a C chromatic for 23 years.  Last SPAH I bought a B chromatic.
I play with a very demanding bandleader who went to Berkeley and comes
up with all kinds of crazy things for me to do.  One time he wanted me
to do a melody that included a quick half step move.  It sounded right
on the B chromatic!  So clearly there are uses for it.

During performance I have pulled out the B about 10 times since
August, just to give it a chance.  Although my soloing might have been
slightly more agile, I am not convinced that it really made that much
of a difference.
