YAY!  <G>  someone like me has been waiting for a primarily  diatonic 
player to say this for SO long.  Summertime especially is just  gorgeous on a 
Chromatic...so are other songs like Georgia, Misty, Mona  Lisa, 
Unforgettable....and he couldn't be 'righter'.  Even me, whom I'd  still classify as a 
decided amateur have seen a few friends now surreptitiously  wipe away some of 
the 'Tracks of their tears', after having heard me  playing some very 
personal and 'connected' ballads at family gatherings. Danny  Boy's another good 
one designed to make the tears flow. And no, they  weren't tears of pain ;)  
 
Just one wee small mention Richard might not already know: Jason Ricci used 
 to play Summertime on diatonic and I very much enjoyed his  
version...about as seamless on a diatonic as I'd ever heard.Yet, he played  a gig in one 
particular neighbourhood of Florida once. Invited a friend up. They  played 
Summertime together...the other guy on Chromatic. Afterwards Jason  declared 
(on the friend's YouTube video which had been posted there by  Garry Hodgson 
of this list):
