[Harp-L] Re: 11th POSITION - Heart of Gold

Gino,
That's great advice....even better if you'd listed which harp to use for
which key in 11th.....

Why not play in 11th position (dont let
the big number scare you) on a minor
tuned harp ? don't be stuborn, try it.
It gives you your melody notes as draw
notes instead of blow notes as in 1st
position. With the draw notes you have
more expresive options than you do with
blow notes. Fatter vibratoes, bending
options etc. The only thing that would
stop someone is,,,,,fear of the unknown.
11th position on a minor tuned harp has
3 draw as the root for the major 7 chord.
2 draw is the root for the minor chord.
Draw notes better. I'm tellin ya you'll
find this is a real treat if you catch on
to it.
