And THIS is where people get brainwashed. Stevie made an LP but that doesn't make him a 12 year old genius just because someone? (whomever that could have been) says so. It could have been the record producer. It could have been his step brother guardian.


It makes him a 12 year old who made an LP. The fact that he is hard of seeing means that he was a 12 year old sight challenged boy who made an LP. The fact that he made the LP makes him a 12 year old musician who is very talented for one so young and with so many handicaps. It makes him wonderful (sic). But genius? I don't think so. Genius is an over used term. Just like star. There was a time when a person could work all their life and never reach star status.

Lately, even child artists are stars. By the time they reach adolescence, they are 'super stars'. Then 'MEGA stars'. Whaaaaa? Naa, I agree with Richard Sleigh. The term is too limiting....and intimidating. It stifles creativity.
