Re: [Harp-L] Max Geldray

The link does indeed work, though the specific Goon show on offer is only available for less than a day, presumably to be replaced by another. If you're a fan of Spinal Tap, check out the volume control slider on the player . . .

The BBC are running The Goon Shows on BBC7.  You should be able to listen to them outside the UK

If this link doesn't work...
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0072vdz/episodes/player

...go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio7/

...and search for The Goon Show.

I have fond memories of listening to the Goon Show late at night on my
transistor radio (remeber them) with the little ear-plug. I always looked
forward to hearing Max perform. It was around the time that my uncle Bruno
gave me his chromatic harmonica which he didn't play and I wanted so much.
Max and Danny Welton (as Johnny Cadente) were my chromatic inspiration at
the time. If you search you can also find some records of the Goon Show.
