Re: [Harp-L] new vid James cotton and Paul Oscher

You can hear and see it better at:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l-5KoP4o4Xc

From mouth to neck yoke, what you see/hear is:
* A 16-hole chromatic that he plays without using the button.
* A slide-in-from-the-side clamp to hold the harp against the mic chamber.
* A cylindrical metal chamber (substituting for a hand-cup) with an opening in the side for the harp and a mic element in one end.
* A bar that allows the assembly to be clamped on a holder like a harmonica. (This has been eliminated since the video was made.)
* The harp clamps of the Ergonomic-Neck-Rack. (These have been replaced by smaller brackets that attach directly to the mic chamber. These changes somewhat reduced the size and weight of the entire assembly.)
* An Ergonomic-Neck-Rack, the only holder sturdy enough to support that much hardware!

It is a unique setup for a unique performer.

I had the pleasure of working with Paul in adapting the chromatic and mic to the Ergonomic-Neck-Rack. Obtaining just what he wanted required several design iterations.
