Re: [Harp-L] Loop Pedal

Loop pedals are great, I do a solo show using only harp, beat-box & an octave pedal for the bass-lines. Using a boss RC-2 to capture the live loops. Build a song one loop at a time & then go with it.

This keeps me busy 4 to 6 nights a week and the flexibility is fantastic. I can play crowds of 4000+ one night & do an intimate venue for about 30 people the next. No fussing with loud guitarists/drummers & unreliable musicians. The trade offs are there but pale in comparison to the uniqueness of sound & the impact on the audience.

You're kinda limited to one chord but one can suggest chord changes vocally or with the harp...

I'm doing an album at the moment but for now you can hear badly recorded samples here: www.myspace.com/lonesomedaveferguson

Or an even worse phone recording of a live show: htp//:www.youtube.com/watch?v=cWRkwiqdQtE

You should also check out Son of Dave...

Cheers

PS Thanks for those that responded to my 545 question...

Does anyone have any experience using a loop pedal with harp? Good, bad or
otherwise?
