[Harp-L] oh no....another amp question

I debated on asking this... I played with a group recently and ended up having to borrow one of the guitar player's amps.? It was a little Peavey Bandit.? It was a small amp, very light and easy to carry.? To my shock and surprise, that little amp had great volume?and an overdriven tone that was just?great.? It even sounded great with chromatic harps.? I wasn't sure what to make of it because I've never used a solid state amp before....always tubed.? It just kind of left me dumbfounded to get that tone and volume out of something that small and?light.? I'm just curious if others have used with success other amps such as this......or even those that digitally model an array of vintage tube models?? Just a question asked out of curiosity.
