Besides the Bates collection, there are other harmonica treasure troves around in the US, Germany and Canada which are definitely worth seeing. Harmonica Collectors International is composed of people who are stricken with the collecting addiction. Bates is a member. They put out "The Trumpet Call" quarterly. Some of them have displayed pieces of their collections at the SPAH conventions over the years. I am a member, although not a collector, of that organization and as a result have seen some incredible harmonica sights. Check them out at:
