Well..., I shouldn't..., but it was actually Goliath of Gath, that infamous
Old Testament Philistine who taunted the armies of Israel by playing a
version of "I'm gona tear yo' playhouse down" on a Blues harp that predated
any of the European lines by some two plus thousand years.
When young David, enraged because he couldn't duplicate Goliath's "Shaky
Jake" drone... Let fly a slingshot's worth of smooth stones, he won the day,
stole the harp, became king... And the rest, as they say... Is "history"???
