Well, Joe, technically, you only need ONE chromatic, nicht wahr?

Tee hee hee, My tongue was SO far into my cheek, I looked like I had a goiter. lololol But actually, I like to play chromos tuned to various keys IN various keys in an effort to have a terminal sound in even MORE variouser keys.
Example: I play a tune in Bb. I could use a C chromo and play it IN Bb. OR, I could play an F chromo and play it IN F. OR I could take an A chromo and play it IN Db. Or, or, or.

But there are a lot of diatonic players who carry a chromatic or two around.

Right, I have a clarinet case. I have 15-21 diatonics in a tray on top depending on if I have them flat or on edge. Underneath there is room for 7 chromos. I happen to carry 4 (& quickie tools), mike, antacid, and my upper teeth.

I've usually got three in the case I made out of the backpack I used to use when I was a photographer. Like Peter Parker, only I had no superpowers to go with it.

I have no super powers either and I'm not bad......but the bad don't mess with me. (more cheeky tongue) lolol
Jokey-Jo-Jo

(p.s. I don't think we're allowed to talk about chromos)
