Subject: Re: [Harp-L] Harpin' in Thailand?

James (Alliax) is also a member of Slidemeister, and from what I understand
runs a YouTube online community of harmonica players. He's known for his
eccentric wearing of different 'headgear' for every song/tune he plays on
chromatic (with backing tracks and from reading music. He'll admit to not really
knowing much about many of his songs prior to playing them.

I'm not at all sure he actually lives in Thailand, or even Asia. My guess
was South America. Have you asked him directly?

....if you're going by the Slidemeister 'maps'...I wouldn't..since there
seems to be some disparity between where people live and the arrows actually
point - at least in my case <G>.

Brother Billy:

Look up this guy - http://www.youtube.com/user/alliax

Been seeing him on http://www.youtube.com/ for a couple of years. Plays
a Chrometta 14 hole. He might appreciate some harp company!

Next week, I'm flying off to Thailand and exploring Asia.
Any tips from members on Blues bars or harmonica related subjects will be
appreciated.
In fact, if you've been over there and have any 'positive advice' I'd be
grateful.
I'll be sure to suss out HarpL on my journey. Who knows I may make some
interesting harmonica related discoveries. Also I may possibly tutor some
skills and options over there [I've been teaching for about 20yrs], so if
you know someone who's 'hanging for a lesson' I've got the goodies for
him/her to open their playing and correct those bad habits. BJ
