Subject: Re: [Harp-L] HARMONICA PLAYING Arabian nights Belly dance

I've previously explained that many webcam videos coming into YouTube
especially from overseas (but not limited to), seem to go out of sync
'afterwards'....as one could tell if they actually watched those in this particular case.

I can clearly see his hand reaching for the button that second or two
'later' than the viewer's hearing the sound/watching him play it...because the
synching isn't true.

The artist has no control over what happens once it's posted on YouTube.

My post was addressing the accusation that he's not a good enough
harmonicist to have played this music, ergo my suggestion that he might well have
improved over the last 9 years and decided to play first to get a good audio with
his backing tracks, then played over them for his webcam ...which
subsequently went out of synch.

A simple enough concept to grasp and far less insulting to an unknown player
than condemning him out of hand as a fake and fraud.

There is no YouTube 'rule' that one must play Live directly into a webcam.
Where is it written?

"Common-sense and logical" from a musician's standpoint - the video would
very closely follow the music, seeing as how the artist created both.

For a musician, actor, whatever, to shoot video that goes w/soundtrack and
not even closely match audio w/visual? Why would one do this?"
