RE: [Harp-L] RE: Harp-L Digest, Vol 76, Issue 83 -- 7 hours of listening

ron, i'm getting a coupla folks who think you're ripping me for my opinions on these harp players. the trouble w/ the internet is that we can't hear voice inflection or sarcasm by just reading words...so i posted this so all can see we're having a good, spirited conversation, and that they shouldn't hate you! LOL
lottsa great players out there, and we all have our favorites, and even undiscovered talent we point out to others... and i just wanted you to know how totally wrong you are! :))

Like his music, ok by me. Not in top 20 for playing, but did break new ground, out of necessity. Many do so much in different ways that it is cool to hear the differences.

> > 8-track? i heard the 1st led zep album in a drive-in waiting for the movie to start. our guitar player got it and insisted i listen, which i did full volume cuz i liked jimmy page with the yardbirds and all that. i don't ignore current players at all. i'm interested in hearing anyone play harp. it's just that LW and PB are the kings, and the rest of us (I assume you play) are pretenders to the throne. ricci would be the heir apparent. there was a princess joke there somewhere.
