Re: [Harp-L] New Jason Ricci/Dave Payne video

Apparently, there appears to be some offlist curiosity about what the harp is Jason plays in the shooting video while he claims shooting the harp makes it play better. It was an Elk River Special A I was carrying that day.

Also, my dad saw that video, he sent me this e-mail, which cracked me up. It cracked me up A) because he's absolutely serious and B) he can absolutely do it... open sights, no rifle scope of any kind. This man taught me everything I know about long-range shooting without the aid of a rifle scope... he is the master...

Dad says about shooting harmonicas:
"You want me to put a 45 cal 565 grain through it at 100 yards...I might be able to do 200 on a good clear day?...Dad"

Dad and I HAVE to do this video shooting some uneeded harp with the .45-90, because, this bullet is like three or four  times heavier than the average bullet and propelled by black powder... At 200 yards, it's moving slow enough you can watch the bullet travel into the harmonica in a spotting scope and I can put a camera on the scope while dad shot or vice versa. It would be like a cannonball hitting the harp and you could see the bullet moving on camera.
