Re: [Harp-L] Can y'all figure out what is special about this?

That would be an AWESOME show. Let's get Ashley and Foster on there, too. You could make that show on your radio station, which I'm shamelessly plugging again.
I am hearing two harps the Crook bros., right? I sware I can hear two, but then I think, no two mortal men can play that tight and I doubt what my ear says.
I listened to it some more,  on the rhythm, so if it's not a banjo uke, and it's more obviously not a banjo mandolin, I'm thinking it sounds more like a four string banjo barred up high to give it a uke-like sound.

Hi Dave

You've got a really good ear. It's sounds alot like a banjo-uke, but there's
more "ring" at certain points than a b-uke  produces. The HDuck dub is
missing the last minute which ends in a very strong banjo sound. If you can
make these distinctions from hearing the HDuck, my hat is definitely in my
hand <g>
Can you imagine a 1928 Opry show with the Crook Brothers, DeFord Bailey, and
Dr. Humphrey Bate's Possum Hunters? - it must have been harmonica heaven.

Cheers,
Jim
