When you can play better, but don't, is that perhaps laziness on harp? 
I can't find Dylan's version of this song, but this is how "Dylan-style" harp oughtta be played.... it's Frank Hutchison, a fellow West Virginian who I keep saying is the first white man to record a blues song.

Hutchison's straight harp sounds simple, until you try to play it. Trying to play along with his stuff makes my lungs scream.
