Re: [Harp-L] Weber 5F2H Harp Amp

Hey Scooter,
Thanks for the heads up, but knowing Ted's tranny's and how the % of PT's
that have blown I just assumed it was the PT. (you know the old saying,
though? ASSUME= will make and ASS out of U and/or ME.....lol)

I've had the original 5Y3GT in there and the last time I checked it on the
Hickcock, all was fine so that's why I figured it was the PT. I checked it
again and is within good spec parameters. That RCA is a great sounding
T-R. Now, since your post (it got the best of my curiosity) I pulled the
3A-250V fuse from my old Alamo and put in a Copper Cap WY3GT and the fuse
blew in 1 second. Kinda sucks because I can't seem to find any fuses in
my stash, so now I have to jump my Allied Knight PA over to one of my 3
remaining amps that all have no fuses in them. DOH!! Or head to the
store.

The Harmony 305A is very close to a Tweed Deluxe circuit, but it has a bit
more headroom. I made a few minor changes for bigger low end and with a
real hot and bright element this amp sounds very very good....5 years ago
on ebay for 162 bucks. Another 110 bucks- 101A100, PT, a few caps and R's-
and it sounds like my friends Tweed Harvard in a blind A/B.

catch ya later,
