You just want weight, easiest way would be to get you some of those flat, little super strong refrigerator magnets, really strong ones that won't slide around and stick on the inside of the coverplate on the bottom corners. 

What Joe said will improve performance, if you have that going from screw to screw to distribute force of the screw. It's like having a double-plate.

How about weighing down the reedplates instead? Lots of flat
surfaces to which you could affix strips of brass from old reedplates- 
less
fiddly and would weigh up faster than messing with combs. Or you
could try double reedplates. You can even trim an
upper reedplate to fit inside the cover and just double the blow
plate.
Or even just the lower 5 holes. I've had positive results doing this 
on lower keys, and
it's something I do optionally on my customs.
