Hello,

Are you playing them all 24/7 or falling asleep with them in your mouth??

I had that problem 30 yrs. ago with MB's while was obsessing! ; )

Have you thought of doing an A/B between the Seydel 1847

Hi,
One thing people need to remember is that the MB Deluxe, much like the Hering 1923 Vintage Harp and their new wood combed version of the Master Blues, is only PARTIALLY selaed, and that's ONLY on the outer edges, which is what most people see. For most people, this is usually adequate, but if you tend to play with an excessively hard breath force all the time (something which MANY players are often guilty of doing, ESPECIALLY beginners and intermediate players), and 98% of them will always play with an extremely wet mouth, and/or if you live in a very dry climate like in Arizona or in high altitude areas like Colorado, the comb can still swell.

The Seydel 1847 classic goes a step further in that the comb is FULLY sealed, and not just around the outer edges, and the only other way you get that is from a harp customizer, and then there should be ZERO swelling from the comb. Again, Seydel is the only harp company doing this on a production line basis, which means more expensive on their production lines, which means it costs more money, but that's the real way to do it.
