[Harp-L] Re; Holding harp in right hand vs. left

You didn't say if you hold the harp "upside down" or not.
( high notes on the left---low notes on the right)
Lots of amazing players played that way.
If you play "right side up", however, it will affect the degree to which you are able to create hand effects since your cup will not be enveloping the lower end, as David pointed out.
