Re: [Harp-L] EQ'ing for harp meets the materials debate

When I was a kid I played the most gawd-awful harmony guitar for about a
year and was just about to give up when my folks got me a good Alvarez (copy
of a Hummingbird, and I wish I still had it.) My fingers stopped bleeding
and I got better as a player almost immediately. I guess they figured I was
dedicated as a learning musician so much to endure the pain of that horrible
tool, that I deserved to have something that helped rather than hindered.

My advice to budding guitarists, and I suppose any other aspiring
instrumentalist, is to get the best instrument you can afford, even more
than you can afford. You will never regret it.

Life's to short for crappy guitars!
