[Harp-L] Cotton playing Juke ~ Hall of Fame Awards

This is very exciting news about Marion Little Walter Jacobs !!!

As for the video on YouTube ~

Just look at Cotton's face for his answer to the slide guitar-solo of Ben
Harper, an instrument that did not fit the song, and vocals that changed it
too much. Listen to James' answer on his harp trying to take back the solo.
(He knew it didn't fit). Go James!

Yet at the same time you are right, this award brings Little Walter's name
into focus and hopefully his songs will get some radio time and more people
will know who he is. .. and besides honoring the master, that's what counts
! It's been a long time coming!

And yeah, James Cotton's Juke doesn't cover Walter's note for note, and his
style is markedly different, but that's the originality everyone talks about
achieving. Cotton's one of the remaining Blues gods still with us and he's
doing very good under his circumstances. The notes might not be in the same
order... but his tone sure is fat.
