Re: [Harp-L] under the radar....

Oh really? I get over there alot. I have a good harp playing buddy (35
years) on Sunset Beach name Tedlee. Every time I go over there and we go
out partying in Tampa and he takes us to some place with a band they invite
him up.

About a year ago, I brought another good friend of Tedlee's (and mine from
way back in the early 70's) over there and me, Sky and Tedlee went to a
friend of his' gig. Well, the three of us can all play the living crap out
of the blues, and when Tedlee walked in the frontman of the group, I don't
even remember, called him up. Well, Tedlee sez, Here's my old friend Sky
and he plays bettr'n me, and that's my old friend Splash and he plays
bettr'n Sky! So they invited us all up there.

We all carry "A" harps. That's just normal cuz blues in E... anyway... we
tell the band blues in E and the three of us rotated the blues licks, and
then did a call and answer, and then started doing single note harmonies...
the three of us doing a three-part harmony. We tore it up. The place
went crazy!

We never practiced together, and Tedlee had not seen Sky for more than 20
years till that day.

That was an improv I'll never forget. a night to remember! Only I have a
hard time remembering the late nite part because everyone was buying us
drinks after that and we had to take a cab back to Tedlee's.

The next day we were talking about it and said, "Do you think we could do
that again,?" And none of us could remember exactly what we actually played.

Truly, Once-In-A-Lifetime thing.

So next time I go over there, I'm gonna have to check out this TC Carr.
Where does he play?

PEACE
Scott
