Google and check out "Son of Dave"... He uses an effects loop and 
he's very different and entertaining !

Not sure what effects loop he uses, but I recall seeing a brief
close-up in one of his YouTube or Myspace videos.

Sidewalkbeggar sounds like he's using an octaver effects box as well.
