The film also features my old friend & Handy Award winner and Howlin' Wolf alum Eddie Shaw (who happens to be a fine harmonica player in his own right.) playing, surprise!!!, the sax player. Upon release on DVD (next Monday) it'll be available at the usual outlets (Netflix, Blockbuster, etc.)

One of the best kept secrets of the film is Gary Clark, Jr., the young
man who plays Sonny. Gary is a genuine blues guitarist and singer who
plays locally here in Austin, and let me tell you, this man knows what
he's doing. I haven't seen the movie to know if he can act, but he
plays guitar just like he's ringin' a bell, go go!
