[Harp-L] the almighty gg orates on neutrality in teaching

The unusually gregarious Lawrence wrote:

"The best teachers remain neutral in the face of a student. The focus should
be on the student."

I mean this in no way to be a dig on Lawrence but our research team
has just appraised us that a teacher who remains neutral is one who
embraces the heights of arrogance. As if to say, "Here I am, ask me
anything you want I'm omnipotent" suppose a student requests his
teacher to show
him the mighty sounds of the overblow but the teacher can do them with
correct intonation? Fron what we have uncovered there are maybe three
players
who have good intonation with the OBs. Poor intonation on an OB or
bend is not proper technique. So if you can't do it properly how can
you teach it properly?
If one is adept at make a roomful or people fall asleep then how can
that guide the scintillating ways of effervescence? (The legal dept
says: This is an example of a
hypothetical situation and not a crack at an actual person or persons
who might actually be capable of lulling a roomful of people to sleep
with a performance.)

The best teachers are guides, you don't go to McDonald's to get a
subway sub do you? We are ALL teachers but be realistic in your
abilities. It's not recommended that
one pays gg, LLC $75/hr to learn how to play like Little Walter in the
same breath, you wouldn't go to Howard Levy to learn how to play like
Dave Barret.
In other words, we are should NOT be neutral in the face of the
student but rather be the authority on what we do. We here at gg, LLC
are an organization of outside the
box thinking and ultra mondern technique. We show you how to expand
your visions, open you're ear and mind to the vibrations of all the is
and has been to deftly create
what will be. In short we show you what WE DO to help you do what YOU DO.

It's ill advised to use only one guide in your journery to pure
harmonicality. Learn what you can from different sources and be
yourself. That is the BEST way. It's your journey.

good tidding and peacefulness,

gg
