[Harp-L] re: Perdido+diatonic+rhythm changes

The magnanimously magnanimous gg says 11th position not 12th position. If
his most jovial friend once said 12th then he was not entirely wrong but
must have been toking the crack pipe again.

Bb on the C harmonica is wonderfully and fabulously beautiful when Rhythm
Changes tunes are rendered upon it. Let us have a gander...

To put it in very simple terms, playing in 11th is a bit like playing in a
"cross harp - minor position" The 4 and 6 OBs are important but you can get
around it with substitutions.
The "B" section is 3rd position (D on C harp)  -> 2nd position (G on a C
harp) ->1st position (C on a C harp) 12th (F on a C harp).  The perfect tune
to try is the Flintstones Theme. Start on the draw 5 and use your ear. The
melody perfectly outlines the Rhythm Changes and it's a simple tune to play
if you can play 4 and 6 OBs.
