[Harp-L] Richard Hunter Seminar in NY 7/13/08

The Brooklyn Harmonica Club is glad to announce that we will host a special seminar with Richard Hunter, who has graciously accepted our invitation.

The workshop will take place on Sunday July 13, at 4pm, in Park Slope, Brooklyn.

For an exact address and direction please email me off-list (it's in my apartment and I prefer not to post my address on the list).

The workshop will be in two parts. Part one will cover technique - such as counterpoint, special tones, breathing techniques, hand techniques, how to incorporate music from outside of blues into blues, etc., and about recording. Part two will cover amplification. Each part will be around 45min-1hour.

As we've done in the past, the workshop is free, but we'll pass the hat after the workshop and we ask people to consider paying at least $20, with all proceeds going to the presenter (obviously, similar seminars could easily cost 5 times as much).

Richard is a gold mind of info, so come prepared.. have your questions ready... the better questions you ask the better answers you'll get..

Though Richard needs no introduction, here's a clip of him improvising with "Little" Annie Raines: http://youtube.com/watch?v=hDNmF2T2oX0
