RE: [Harp-L] Olympus LS-10 Recorder



I agree with Garry - set it and forget it. I used to worry about pausing
the recorder between songs or stopping/starting to generate a new file
for each set, but now I pretty much just let it run. Yeah the file gets
big but who cares in these days of high speed networks, USB 2.0, etc.
When I load the big file into Audacity it is very clear where each song
starts/stops and takes only seconds to clip each song out on its own,
normalize it, and save it as an individual MP3 or WAV. Life is good.

But, keeping an eye on it to make sure nobody steals it is another
problem, especially when you are playing. I put it behind the bar one
time but the soundtrack sounded like Pink Floyd's "Money" with the
register noise all over every track!
