When I was a boy in Trieste Italy, Ron used to be heard on the  
British radio station that the occupation forces listened to. We're  
talking early 50s here. He was already established as (probably)  
England's #1 player. I used to play with the 2 Leech boys whose  
father was a Colonel. They had that record..OR..they had these tunes  
on different records.

Balckie was the first harmonica player I ever saw 'live' It was the  
Roxy in New Your City and 1952. He was mainly a live performer and  
studio musician, and there are not many examples of his early work. I  
DO have the Hora on a tape. He may still have some copies. His address:
