[Harp-L] B- Bb, Dm queston

Thanks so much Winslow, Bill Russell and Bill Hines. Why I use a Bb for Dm? Not sure. Maybe it started with some misunderstood information (way back) from a Melbay instructional that had Charlie Musselwhite in it and maybe from playing Azul Para Ampero on Charlie's the Harmonica According To Charlie Musselwhite. I am practicing for a musical right now. At the first practice I didn't have the keys yet and was going through the harps trying to find what sounded right. I have a C harp and even a LO Dm(d) C. I like the Bb because of the meaty bends in the lower holes and 3 nice fat octives then expressive high notes and a nice run from high to low. From your emails I've tried all the above harps and am now into some harp switching on the Dm song but the Bb gives me the most feeling and emotion. Thanks again, I will use your info and hopefully learn something to help me along on the wonderful journey of the harmonica. There are 7 songs in this musical keyed as follows. Dm, 2 in Em, G, F, and 2 in C. Thanks again! Ed
