[Harp-L] Re: Harp-L Digest, Vol 49, Issue 21

Hey Randy,

In my opinion, yes, the AT 822 is the best stereo mic in its price range
(retails for $419.00 but can be had at B&H for around $240.00). Audiophiles
love and so do I. I use it with my Sony DAT and with my Zoom H4. It comes
with a short XLR to stereo mini and with a XLR to two 1/4" connectors which
works nicely with the H4. There's also the AT 825 ($525.00 retail) which
terminates to two XLR connectors. As you know the H4 has a built in XY pair
but the quality is so so. If you want a lush recording go with the AT822!

Check out the first track on my MySpace page for an demonstration of the
AT822. Just two guys and the mic in a NYC apartment.
