[Harp-L] re: loud band



Magic Dick and Charlie Musselwhite both have been known to play Fender
Twins--the cheap, non collectible 80s ones with the red knobs no less.
They're loud enough. Butterfield used a big fender--I think he ran one amp
into another. A lot of folks use a tweed bassman. I have no problem with
volume--you can always wear ear plugs, but I can no longer lug those huge
Fender amps. Turn the treble way down--feedback city.

If it's a kind of band that mics the amps, you can use whatever you
like--the soundman will just turn it up at the PA, just tip the amp so you
can hear it, or put it on a chair.
