Re: [Harp-L] John Hammond, Jr.

My dad dragged me to see John do a solo show in a very small jazz club when
I was 16 and had just been goofing around with the harp. I grudgingly went,
and was transformed that night. Now, compared to lots of you folks, I still
only goof around, but John ignited something in me that night that's been
burning there for 20 years now.....

Today I was listening to Pete Seeger's album, WAIST DEEP IN THE BIG MUDDY
AND OTHER LOVE SONGS (1967). Pete credits John Hammond, Jr., ..."for the
harmonica. He strolled by the studio and we snagged him."

I'm glad to see the credit, but I have no idea who John Hammond Jr. is.
Anyone know more about this harper? Thanks.
