A driver going 111 mph on a remote stretch of interstate in a
high-performance vehicle designed to do in excess of 225 mph on the Autobahn
doesn't seem excessive to me.

I guess the police thought otherwise, though.  Maybe they were jealous.

It reminds me of the old saying, "A racehorse looks pretty in his stall, but
that's not what racehorses are bred for."

Too bad about the small amount of marijuana.  Vehicles can be siezed for
that in the land of the free and home of the brave these days.  The article
indicates exactly that's what they did.

"Hey Sargent.  Looky what we got.  A new cop car!"
