Yes that does work well... Stops windsavers on chromatics sticking and  
popping! But also is good for diatonics.
I personaly attempt to sort out the harmonicas I shall need during a set,  
and put them on top of my tube (valve) amplifier.  Of course this is not  always 
an option.
If I'm using a house pa as amplification, I make sure I am wearing a shirt  
with a front pocket, and keep the next harmonica to be used in that top pocket. 
 It then warms up in time for the next tune!
That's why I never wear T-Shirts.
