indeed, this was called the "Ritz Power Jam".  i vaguely recall that it was a 
benefit of some sort, though i can't find any reference to that now that i look.
but you make a good point, that this, and probably the mickey raphael version 
as well, should be evaluated in this context.

i do just that, for our regular blues jams.  of course, it's password protected, 
and just for the use of the jammers.  highly recommended.
