[Harp-L] re: sneering

thanks iceman for putting it in perspective....i often find myself playinf along with the stereo and even though it is not the same licks and embelishment, i still find myself getting it to fit in like a second player complimenting the recorded artist...this came about from my studies of dave barret's books, glenn weiser, phil duncan, charlie musselwhite and others i should probably mention, i guess it is all about improvising, it is just very time consuming to try to replicate by ear or even ear with tab in front of me,,,i should look into a local source of formal training and get on a strict practice regiment and get out and break the ice(no pun intended) with some local guys, maybe i could get past the stagnation in my playing ability......the point of my letter wasn't really intending to snub people who duplicate old riffs...it was intended to offer a comment about this whole pro thing with jason...makes me sad to see him get hurt by all this, i just have a great
admiration for anyone who can get up there and be an entertainer, harpers and all others who give it with heart....joe g still jammin
