I'm curious if most of you feel your way around the harmonica using just
your lips, or if you have a kind of landmark with the middle or ends or
something. I am having a hard time hitting the number 9 hole at the end of song every
 time.
[And thank you btw], Glad i found this list.

I can tell you what I do. When I get people started I tell them to
play single notes of course, but something else I think is just important for
beginners is to hold the harp correctly and the same way every single time. I
know your way past that. One of the things I still do is to take the harp in
my hand, think of the note I want, close my eyes and put the harp to my lips
on that note when I practice. I start on the 1 hole blowing move to 2 hole
drawing and so on. It's a muscle memory thing. Nowadays I just hit the root
octaves. Sometimes I'll open up a lead like that on stage. Also I would work on
hitting the 2 hole drawing with vibrato and slide up to the 9 hole blowing
on the end beat. I'm sure others will have better ways of explaining what they
do, but I hope this helps.
      Keep rippin'
