I remember Howard telling me about this on the phone about a year ago
and enthusiastically playing bits from it - it sounded like a great
idea. I have not seen the finished product.

Are you sure, though, Chris, that it will be impentrable to all but
those who don't need it? Not everyone automatically figures out the
connections that are "obvious" to those who already know the subject,
and the video (and audio) might turn on a few lights for folks who were
in the dark, or inspire some doubters (I know Howard's playing did that
for me in a big way back when I knew how to overblow but didn't
consider it practical at speed).

Hmm. I'll have to get a copy and check it out.

P.S. I agree wholeheartedly about Mark Levine's books for jazz theory.
Clear, straightfoward, straight up, and on the money, with plenty of
notated examples you can sound out on a keyboard.
