    Quick, sodden thoughts on a variety of
topics: Smokin' Joe is indeed smokin'! Great
stuff, thanks for posting it!
    Randy Singer, you sound great, bleep the
critics.
    Monitors: One year we had all our gear set up
the night before our annual Geezerpalooza potluck
and music gathering, had done our sound checks
and eveerything was cool, and on the morning of
the event we decided the monitors took up too
much stage room when they were placed right
behind the mic stands, so we moved them off the
deck that was the stage to spots just below the
deck and mic stands ... well, you know the rest:
We couldn't hear them for bleep.
   Moral: Keep 'em where they work.
   Or better yet, play acoustic and mic only the
voices, if necessary ...
