Hi Tommy
It records to SD (Secure Digital) media "cards" - the kind that many digital cameras use. This means you can pop another in when the current one fills up. The files can be tranferred via USB from the recorder and probably regular card reading devices (since their description states 'mp3 compatibility'). Roland/Boss in the past has had some propietary data formats that required conversion utilities on the computer.
