   YES, The Audix Fireball works Terrific with the AKG 40 Wireless. I too am
sorry to hear it's being discontinued. Randy Singer turned me on to this
unit and it works  like a charm!

      As Tim sez, you should be able to get one on a close-out deal as they
are fairly new and should be in stock out there.
