RE: [Harp-L] Used Fender bassman Reissue modification!

Bruno asked:
"Does anyone knows how to fix rattling problems on the
Fender Bassman Reissue 59?"... Has anyone ever tried to use a Shure SM
58 on this
amp???

What kind of rattle is it? Does it happen only when you play certain
notes, or only low notes, or high notes, etc.? Is the sound coming from
the speakers or the amp cabinet itself? A little more info will help
determine if it could be an electrical problem or a mechanical one.

The Shure 58, in my opinion, will give a clean, accurate tone through
your amp. It can be used without an in-line impedance matching
transformer, but it will sound very sterile, and you will have to turn
the amp volume up considerably to achieve the same volume as a "bullet"
mic on a lower setting. If you use a matching transformer, the mic will
be "louder" and add a touch more bite to the sound. Not anything like
the tradition bullet harp mics, however.
