Re: [Harp-L] 2 questions about amplification

1. Every amp is different, including same model amps. Everyone's ear is different in what makes a "classic Chicago blues" sound. Playing amplified harmonica requires a different set of techniques than acoustic playing. Focus on the techniques. When you've mastered them, you will be able to control almost any amplified situation, no matter the amp or mic (for the most part).

2. The Harp Commander is a fun unit, but the same caveats as stated above will apply.

1- I currently own a JT30 mic (with volume control) and a Fender Blues Junior
amp. Can any one give me tips on the best way to adjust the settings to get a
nice fat mellow "classic Chicago blues" sound from it?

2-I remember seeing people mention using pre-amps or amp -simulators plugged
into the PA to get that tube-amp tone (without having to carry the amp) - any
recommendations on devices like that?
