Re: [Harp-L] best harp instructional material (was Harp-L Digest, Vol 35, Issue 40)

IMO, the Portnoy instruction package is a must have for a learning tool. Very well laid out and easy to understand. Doesn't go into a lot of detail that tends to bog us normal folks down, but gives plenty of coverage to various techniques that the pros use. The accompanying jam tracks are way cool-JP will do a track with him playing and then the track plays again without the harp. 1st class-IMO.

If you're talking about the HarmonicaMasterclass CD from Portnoy it used to be 50 dollars.

Last night I mosied over and saw Mark Hummel in Hermosa Beach, CA and I bought his intermediate to advanced DVD and I will report on it in the next few days or so.
