My sister called me and said she was watching that stupid new show
that's even worse than american idol, "america's talent" show or
something. She said some kid was playing harmonica on it, so I went over
and watched it on her tivo. It was this kid and his brother I guess on
guitar. To me, the kid kind of blew it, went way over the top for 'show'
and didn't play anywhere near the quality of what I saw/heard in these
youtube videos, just beating the hell out of the 2 draw bends or
something. But the judges put them though to the next round (and told
the kid he's a horrible singer, haha). I think they played sweet home
alabama or something, I forget now. 

But hell yeah the kid's a great player for 12 (he looks older in this
show, maybe he's 13 or 14 now)! 

Between that and Taylor Hicks, lots of inspiration for the younger genre
to show what the instrument can really do and perhaps inspire some to
play.
